LOL! Gene is fantastic in this! You've got his character and his dynamic with Sam down really well here.

“Ain’t yeh boyfriend come to pay you a visit then, Gladys, take you out for a romantic stroll along the canal?” What is it with people shipping Sam and the Doctor together? Hehe, I know, I know, The Master...:) This line is also a brilliant example of fantastic Gene characterization. :D

The body is clearly quite creepy. I really like the line about Sam feeling like the red eyes were following him.

This is awesome, by the way. Your writing is wonderful.

I wasn't sure about Gene as I find writing him difficult sometimes. Also, my mind has been affected by slash so I worry that I sub-consciously write that into their dialogue.

I'm glad you thought it was creepy. That's another thing I worried about; whether it was explicitly creepy or if I'd just described it rather poorly. Oh, so much worry!

Hehe, don't fear! I'm not really shipping them... Well, only in my head... :)

I have trouble writing Gene too, but you've captured him much better here than I've ever managed to. And to be honest, I think sub-concious slashy dialogue is written in the show anyway. It might just be that I'm a shipper so it sounds that way, but I say there is enough UST in the show for these two that any more and they might just implode...(Take S1E8 as a prime example, while Sam is pointing the gun at Gene: "You don't want me to leave, Gene, but I have to leave." To me that just cries SLASH! from the rooftops. :))

It was creepy. With Sam's thoughts about the painting as well; I have a slight phobia about seeing portraits and statues in art galleries because I swear they're looking at me... but hell, I'm paranoid...;D

I'm exactly the same. I have similiar feelings about pictures and photos which is why I don't have any on my wall because I hate the idea of them watching me... I've got the shovers now! We shall be paranoid together. :)
