That's an interesting story, but how does it tie back to your second sentence? Did Richard love Patricia, in spite of his numerous affairs and her apparently giving up?
I believe that's how how first learned that a husband could love his wife, but still for one reason or the other cheat on her.I never asked him what his reasons were. I truly believe though that he loved his wife. He never had he intention of ever leaving her. He had the money. I don't think he was concerned with her divorcing him and her taking the money either. I think he just loved his wife and had to have the knowledge that other women were attracted to him.He loved her even when she gave up, but I'm not sure he realized that is why she gave up and I'm not even sure she would put that into words herself, but other things I picked up on gave me that understanding. She never gave up fighting against the other women with words when she found them out.
