Yo.

So, I'm back from Ottawa/Quebec. Actually, I've been back for more than a week, but between playing D&D and doing chores for my 'rents and generally being incredibly lazy, I haven't updated. Anyway, Ottawa is a fascinating city, if only because it houses so many of this country's national intstitutions and official galleries. The Canadian Museum ( Read more... )

I saw V For Vendetta in the theatre... and yes, I did a bit of giggling when I heard that. Glad I wasn't the only one, haha. :P

Especially since I was told that I should stop thinking and relating things, and just watch the movie. Of course, that's no fun! ^_^

Man, the best part of movies is making weird connections. And looking for subtext. *eg*

Oh ho, you bet! You should have seen me tonight. I went to see PotC2 for the second time... and oh! The subtext... the implications!

I was in heaven. Heaven for the gutterminded... and the slash fans. XD

I still haven't seen that movie. :( But I do have a pirate skull 8-ball toy from a McDonald's happy meal. It's hilarious.

It's good to know you're still alive and kickings, and enjoyed Ottawa. Seems everyone's doing a little traveling but me. I might head to Kincardine for a few days with Mark and his family but that's about it.

I want to hear all about the trip whenever we get to talk/see each other. You know me, I'll appreciate all the art/museum-y stuff.

Hey, Kincardine is better than nothing. Also, any place with a name that cool has to have some redeeming qualities.

Note to self: call you. When I remember and it's not, like, 4 am or something.

Oh, the imagry and subtext were abounding in that movie. The fire/rain baptism were one of my favourite scenes in that. Of course, the violence itself wasn't too bad either. ^_^

Oh, and the dance dance revolution thing? Strange, but okay, I can see it. I just have to keep telling myself that no matter what Tristan says, there is no such thing as Megaman DDR. *Shudders*

Yeah, yeah, but it wasn't very coherent imagery/subtext. It wasn't very subtle either. :P

Um, yeah, I was joking about the DDR thing. And Megaman DDR would be one of the funniest things ever.
