BLEACH, Ichigo x Ishida. This is the smut rec for this post. *cough* Because I wish they were having sex. Actually, I sort of wish Ichigo were having sex with almost everyone on the show. Because, you know, Ichigo. Anyway, this really has no plot beyond the sex. And that makes me happy.

xxxHoLiC, Doumeki x Watanuki. Doumeki has a bad habit of giving Watanuki left over things. This is absolutely adorable. Doumeki is crafty in a noncommittal way, and Watanuki is oblivious. Plus, the last line of the fic is awesome.
Five Years and Four Minutes by cephiedvariable
NARUTO, Sasuke x Naruto (sort of), Team 7 friendship fic. Sasuke is home, and healing. I love snapshots like this, where the details are sparse yet richer for it, and where the characters' actions say more than the dialogue. This fic hurts me, not because of the tone of the story, but because I don't think it'll ever happen in canon.
Dangerous by Telanu
Pet Shop of Horrors, D x Leon. It is dangerous to meddle in Count D's affairs, and particularly with Leon Orcot. A powerful figure in the Chinese community (read: mafia) takes an interest in Count D, and causes problems for Leon. D is not amused. Telanu is a wonderful author who manages to recreate the tone of the series, and then expand on the original storyline without breaking away from canon. It's like reading a lost chapter of the manga. If I could write longer fiction (anything over 1500 words), Telanu is the sort of writer I would aspire to be. I highly recommend her other PSoH fiction as well --- but that's for another post.
