KakaIru recs

I felt like making a list of my KakaIru recs. Why? Because I can.

Title: A Murder Of One by Devosama
Summary: A slow, sticky rumination on how seasons affect us, for better or ill. Summer, in Konohagakure, is a time for ghosts and strange love affairs.

God, I love this fic. It's probably my number one all time favourite. It's not so much KakaIru as it is a psychological character study through an affair. It's so depressing and sensual and gritty and ... and real. Wow.

Title: The Moon and the Fish Below by dios the whale
Summary: [somewhat implied slash][kakairu][dark themes][short, one-shot] Character introspection a la Umino Iruka.

Another depressing KakaIru ... this one won't give you the warm fuzzies, that's for sure. But it's absolutely fantastic, and definitely worth a read.

Title: Soft by Enigma O
Summary: Iruka's thoughts of Kakashi, of what being a ninja requires of him, and affects him. Yaoi but no more than kissing and vaguely implied sex. Occasional... questionable choice of words though. People like me will snigger. Completed one shot.

This fic is cute, but without being too WAFFy. It makes me happy.

Title: Small Heroes by Sunfreak
Summary: In the cold months before spring, Iruka takes a moment for himself and asks someone a very important question. Shounen ai.

More of a "what Naruto means to Iruka and vice versa" fic than KakaIru ... but it does have the required ending scene and implications. Yaaay! This fic reminds me of why I love Sunfreak's writing so much ... so very, very well-crafted and understated. Not a word is wasted by this author, and I love it.

Title: A Logical Conclusion by solderini
Summary: It's true love for Kakashi and Iruka! ...or is it? *Parodies the KakaIru pairing.*

Okay, this is a KakaIru PARODY, but what the hell, I'm including it on this list. Why? I love parodies, and this one is particularly funny, especially for KakaIru fans. ^__^ A definite must-read for KakaIru 'shippers, and anyone else who wants a laugh.
