I just wanted to update super quickly to say that I am in LA FRANCE! I've been here since Sunday, we've been having our orientation in Paris and today (in fact,w ithin moments) we are taking the train to Toulouse where we will be picked up by our host families! GAH! I miss you guys!! how is good old boston? has it snowed yet? I have to update soon because there's so much going on here! unfortunately i don't have internet at home, only at school.

It has iced here. Not snowed -- iced. I've fallen down, it has been tragic. Wouldn't it be funny if you came back to Boston and everyone here was wearing berets and smoking inordinate amounts of cigarettes and saying "croissant" and you were the only one not?

Actually! I'm meeting up with my friend Erica in london for a week in May, and the reason she's coming to Europe is basically just to see the naked horse play. I consequently, refuse to go with her, becuase I would just be too embarassed for Daniel Radcliffe's poor acting. I can't imagine it's going to be good.

Clementine does sound awesome! I was afraid for you that you'd get some weird family with obnoxious kids or something. HAVE FUN and I look forward to hearing more of your French adventures.

ELIZABETH! love! Glad to hear from you, and from where! - from FRANCE! i've actually been thinking about you the last couple of days hoping you would let know how it is here in Europe for you. I'm hoping Clementine turns out even better than you expect and her cats love you (why wouldn't they though?! you're elizabeth!) Can't wait to read your stories and see pictures. Enjoy your time in France, ahhh how brilliant is that you're actually doing it - and hope you learn more french and become fluent very soon. Oh, and yay paris! :)

Ihaven't heard from you in so long, howo is the business of your life??? You must send me an email zhenver you get a chance just to update me!

EUROPE IS THE GREAEST!! Iùve been dying ot post a big fat enor,ous post but has been hard to get access to the interent with none at home. Clémentine is amazing; really the greatest! she loves to travel and to read and shes an amazing cook, and I can communicatezith her without english (mostly) zill tell more tlqter!

AND NO I DID NOT HEAR ABOUT HARRY POTTER1§1§1/1/1/?????? HOW DID I MISS THAT§1 I GUESs thats what not having internet does for you! damn! seriously; is that official??? LINK me a nezs page; zill you pretty please?? This is like the biggest nezws ever, I was soshocked!

Oh Elizabeth! I know, I've been a right awful friend, but I will try to rectify that. Expect a mail soon, but meanwhile I'll just write you a long comment:) I'm at work, see, so I can't be spending too much time on personal correspondence, but I do anyway. It makes me even more productive, I swear - it's just that I can't be doing only work for the whole time - there's just not enough of it to occupy myself for so many hours, and there's only a certain amount of times one can drink tea :D Sooo I'm writing occassional emails, but mostly read analytical materials - which is also good for my job, but also what I normally do as well - so both sides win ( ... )

No!You have not been a horrible friend! SOmehow in the midst of all your chaos, you managed to send me an amazing mix and beautiufl purple mittens. I wore them all christmas vacation (sadly I forgot to pack them for Toulouse-boooo) but the mix ocntinues to rock my world! I need to send you an email response to each song, becuase it deserves it ( ... )
