Okay, I'm becoming a little concerned about how much my ovaries have been working overtime lately. First of all, awhile back
meyerlemon had someone comment on her LJ about men and babies, and it was an image that I haven't been able to get out of my head, so I just have to share it now. This woman said she had a newborn and one night she watched as her

Speaking of Classical women, that reminds me of the scene in Passion of the Christ where Pilate's wife Claudia (Our Latin-spouting Claudia?) brings some clean cloths to Mary Magdalene and the Virgin Mary to clean up the blood from the lashing. It was such a powerful silent scene.

I have this good friend who was my Spanish teacher in high school, but she wasn't all that much older than I was. Our class was really small, so we all got to know each other pretty well. When I had her, she's just had her first child. A couple of weeks ago she had her third. But anyway, once I went to her house for lunch, and I saw her little girl run over to her husband and he was talking to a friend, but he picked her right up and she just sat on his lap, and gah. Then I once asked my friend about it, and she said that yes, it did get to her. She told me that she when her daughter was still an infant, she used to watch her husband lying on the couch and holding her right on his chest while she slept. And I'm like, PLEASE STOP WITH ALL THE IMAGES ALREADY. Except, of course, don't. ;)

I'm going to wait until every fratboy in my city has seen it or maybe just go to a matinee, but I want to see 300. Absolutely.
Men and babies. Um. Mother Nature wins every single time.

Yeah, I feel like her stalker now, but it's just like the way she says things, emphasizing in caps, I feel like she's in my head. And I feel not so alone in my weird, obsessive-compulsive corner when I read her posts. :p
Yes, go see it. It's really, really good. I mean, what sold me was the love story because it was strong and powerful and a really important part of the movie, but that it's such a guy flick is great too. There was this young guy in front of us who kept shoving his fist in the air after something really cool would happen. Funny. :D
You do know that you're no help on the whole men and babies, daddy issues thing, don't you? ;) If anything, I think you've helped me turn from someone who was had the mild interest in men and babies like any other female, but now... it's a whole other level. Why the hell a shirtless guy wearing pajama pants holding a baby would get to me so much, I. don't. know. *flails*
