The Fairy Saga continues

Hi all! It's been awhile since myu last post. I don't h ave a compuiter now. But hopefully next week I'll get my own laptop! I have been tatting Jane Eborall Flower Fairy and I love it! I also combined it with a fairy name generator and personalized my fairy. They're so cute that I had to make one for mom and one for a friend.

The sitting one is suppose to be a fairy-o. LOL A male fairy. I tried not to make it too feminine... The pattern tho looks complicate it's pretty easy to make. Just a tad tedious when you have to close the head, body and limbs. If you know how to make split rings then is not complicated. Just need some patience, that's all! Remember that tatting is just rings and chains. :-)

It took me around 18 hours to finish each fairy. I think that after you make one the 2nd is easier and the 3rd is a piece of cake. LOL

Now I'm trying to make a 3-d mermaid. Jane is helping me with the idea. I'm making a flat mermaid 1st using her pattern (soon to be publish on her web site).

I knit lace like there's no tomorrow and cling to "it's just knits and purls", but I am not buying your "just rings and chains". I swear there's some black magic in your tatting. Those are AMAZING.
