Hello.  I just found this place and am excited to find somewhere to talk about tatting.  There are not very many people where I live who have any interest.   I have been tatting for about ten years and have about three projects in progress, including a bag that I hope to use as a shuttle bag and show-off piece

e-tatters is indeed another community, but it's not here on LJ. It's at http://www.etatters.com (or was the last time I looked. New job has me completely devoid of free time.)
