Depends on what you're looking for. I had a white ink filigree wrist tattoo done by Josh at Infamous Ink, and he's very good. In June, I'm going to see Dawn Grace to get belt-ish black and gray filigree with some dance notation steps done around my waist to connect my belly tattoo with my lower back one. There are lots of others that I'm sure others will recommend.

I am north chicago, but I have a car, and I will day trip for the right artist. How far south do you go?

David Allen is my artist and he is awesome! The amount of detail in his work is what drew me in. He is at Pioneer Tattoo in Lakeview. He was at Insight Studios when I went and the other artists there are great, too so check out their portfolios, as well as the other guys at Pioneer.
