oh, wow! I'm glad you eventually found it! I would reccomend those cookbooks that mimic popular candy bar recipes since lecithin is in all candy everywhere. My mom mails me batches of fake Mounds bars she's made and they taste exactly the same. heh. :)

Weirdly enough lecithin itself isn't always soy. I mean, lecithin is in eggs by nature, which is how one can make homemade mayo -- which I've now had to do. And man is it jummy.

an enjoyable entry for a not-so-enjoyable circumstance. glad you narrowed it all down, at the very least, but still a drag. even as a meat and dairy consumer, i'd miss a few soy-based treats...
