So, due to my own idiocy and forgetfulness, I'm going to have to abandon this journal in the near future

can you call gmail to get your password back? or email customer service or soemthing?

Tried that. They referred me back to the online retrieval forms. Basically, the info they'd need from me to be able to reset the account is the same info that the online form asks for, and which I don't have. They can't access my account and pull a few emails and have me verify the contents because if I'm not really me, they've just violated privacy.

I can't get it validated. In order to validate it, I need to set it as my new email address on my account settings page, and I'm unable to do that.

My only suggestion is to create a new LJ account now, rather than waiting. You'll be much less happy if your current auto-login system fails before you get to it, and you can't update your friendslist-homies with your new account. :)

Yeah, I'm working on it. The current holdup (besides a bunch of work due for classes) is coming up with a decent username. Unfortunately, PillsburyDeadBoy isn't available. :D
