-cries- Why are you so wonderful? Where and how did you develop this incredible style?

;A; You flatter me too much.
Honestly, lately; I find myself feeling rather....discontented with my style. I don't know why, I can't quite judge for myself how my style impacts others. I fear getting over indulgent. Drawing and writing things only I can feel... I fear that whenever I draw it doesn't "hit" others. You know like how you see a picture, and then you forget it ? I don't want to draw pictures like that. I want to draw something with meaning, movement. Or something visually strong enough to etch in someone's mind. I really like it when I can feel the atmosphere of a picture, the sadness or the joy in it. So styles like Basso's, Est Em, or Nakamura Asumiko, and even Kyuugou, and lately, I discovered- Lily Hoshino really move me. I really hope to get even better.

Maybe I want to be remembered through my drawings, aha, if that doesn't sound arrogant to say.

By the way, here is an artist who inspired me a lot;

I don't know, I'm not sure if my words will make a difference, because I know that when an artist feels a certain way, no one can really change that person's mind regardless. But I really do not think that your pieces are forgettable. I majored in art history and now I am in the fine arts program -- so I really have seen a lot of art. Also, I consider manga to be an art form as well, so there is very much that I have seen ( ... )

I know I keep saying this; but thank you- you are very kind to say such encouraging things to me. I will take your words to heart. :)
Also, I consider manga to be an art form as well, so there is very much that I have seen.I found it interesting that you say that- I definitely consider manga/anime an art form- and it peeves me to have people disregard it just because it has gotten mainstream. I dislike it when anime/manga is immediately stereotyped into "big eyed, big boobed girls and boys with spiky hair"- it is unfortunate that this sort of imagery seems to represent anime/manga, to those who are unfamiliar with this world ( ... )
