[TM] Mornings? They suck. Alcohol is BANNED. Banned I say!!
It's morning. Orlando's called Xander back and as he skims down the list of phone calls he made last night he almost regrets having his phone at all. Some of them he's sure could have been okay messages, the rest? The one to Angel specifically has him worried. Shaking his head in a moment of disbelief at the row of tiny empty bottles along the dresser lined up, he heads to the bathroom to get ready for what just might be the start of the longest week ever.
The hot water scalds him a bit, but it doesn't matter. Feeling anything other than nothingness is welcome. Fifteen minutes later he's toweling off and getting dressed. He feels a bit better, and glances to his phone. He missed a call, and has a message as well. He gives it a listen and is glad to hear that it's Oz. The last thing he needed was Angel returning whatever message he left for him. He wasn't even remotely sure what he said to him, which could be a bad thing. Especially with their track record.
Running his fingers through his hair he moved through his hotel room pressing the phone to his shoulder while he called Oz back. "Hey Oz, yeah got your message... I know. It's... yeah exactly. Look Orlando is too overwhelmed, I offered to make some calls for him. Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Sounds like a plan. See you in 20? Yeah it'll be good to see you too." Xander hung up, slightly grateful for Oz's stoic four word replies. Words weren't really needed right now, and he wasn't even sure they would make much difference anyway.
Oz had suggested a cafe around the corner from the hotel, and Xander figured they'd meet there and sort out a plan of action, that would probably require a lot of compassion and heartfelt voicemail messages. It was indeed going to be a long week he thought as he headed downstairs to the lobby and out the doors to head around the corner to meet up with Oz.
