"Taure-land" (Tentatively referred to as "Ardeska" because its my cliche fantasy world name from WAY back.) is all about color and playfulness. It was dreamed up by a perpetually young boy called The Sweet Prince, who usually runs amok among his people, attending The Circus that is the heart of the world, and wandering in The Walled Garden (which is locked up when Ssam arrives) and The Wild Wood (a Bamboo forest full of creepy, colorful, masked humans called The Wild Animals. When Wild Animals are "tamed" they stop wearing the masks.) However, he's gone missing, and a strange illness is making various citizens go mad and attack people. The leader of the Circus, The Ringmaster, is also missing, and is suspected of kid-napping The Sweet Prince. Ssam is going to have to find both leaders and figure out what the hell is happening before he can get the portal piece from Secret Cavern Palace.
In addition to The Wild Animals, there are also rat/feline/human things called Lubberfiends that are a throwback to a really old character design. Lubberfiends are natural Packrats, and wear tons of jewelry made of junk. One of Ssam's companions here is a Lubberfiend Circus clown named Bauri. She's lazy, clumsy, and distrustful of everything. The other companion is another circus performer named Cozko. He's an Onieri, which means he's gray, has tiny useless wings and is supposed to be bound mentally to The Sweet Prince. However, he's more interested in bumming food of everyone.
Long story short GARDENS AND CAVERNS AND CIRCUS WIERDOS. WOO-HOO.
