2012 wrapup

Ended up skipping out on the NYE party, because I didn't think I was going to want to be out till midnight and curling up in a nice chair with candles and a book seemed more enchanting.  Made it a little past midnight, long enough to hear the neighbors counting down the year, and then crashed.  Had a very nice brunch of bacon, scrambled eggs, and

A nice wrapup; I found myself napping fifteen minutes before midnight, personally, though I did wake up to the crump of fireworks and the excitement of the dog. It's a beautiful novelty to have a dog who isn't *scared* of the noises but is instead quite interested.
