And in your situation, they know you're not going to use the product and have little to lose. Most people--less stubborn, less familiar with the tech, less discerning, less likely to buy hundreds of mp3s at a shot--are more likely to be swayed by the constant gentle nudges from a software giant eager to establish a unified environment.
