Utterly gorgeous. The level of detail is entirely convincing, you write the 19th-century POV flawlessly. And oh, poor Mary, trying so hard to make sense of what's going on, I really felt so anxious for her. Very effectively written.
Fantastic story, thoroughly intriguing.
