- The Husband was given an unceremonious lay-off last week, slashing our home finances by two-thirds and thoroughly pissing us both off. Thanks! I was really proud of myself for neither swearing nor frothing at the mouth. (It still makes me shake with rage a little bit every time I think about it, though.)

Sweet Grandma was still quite cold towards me today, but I figure, if the price of her acquaintanceship is letting shit like that pass, then I don't really need work pals that badly.

Seriously. Sweet Grandma has become Stinkeye Grandma, for reals. Sometimes I wish I could work in a basement surrounded by books and NO PEOPLE. Maybe also a computer so I can fart around. That would be Heaven.
