Things I've done this week

The Husband left on Wednesday evening, and I've been coming home (or staying home) to an empty house every day since. It's been okay, I guess. I've done some chores and some reading, and I've got some resume-updating to do as well, so I might as well be alone and undistracted. It's a little sad having no one to share my weird thoughts with, though

I haven't really tagged them...it's pretty easy to rip to an external drive in iTunes, by dragging your library to the new disc and resetting your preferences. iTunes will work as usual and automatically import metadata from their database at the same time as you rip the disc. Rawk!

I finished the project today, whoo-hoo! we have 78.5 days of music. I hope that translates into some cash for mama.

Also, purging is one of the best things ever. Lately, your bro is even worse than me with keeping things. We have 2 magazine files full of old Saveurs that he insists on keeping. Meanwhile, I am trying to do the same thing as you by digitizing everything. He refuses to give up his CDs, as "they have better sound quality". Never mind that he only listens to music on his iPod. =)

We've kept a few that have bonus material, like quicktime videos and suchlike. But it was really driven home how little we listened to them when we moved the cd cases upstairs to make room for wedding prep stuff, and not once in a year did either of us head upstairs to get a cd to listen to. NOT ONCE. Hence, we purge.

I too love a good purge. It's harder to get them done when D's around, so in that sense, it's nice to have a bit of time to myself.
