Beginning a Life Without Moratoriums.

Okay. So it was barely 4 days. I give up on my life of moratoriums. Though I enjoyed writing about it in this journal, so I could feel held accountable by you people. Unfortunately, I am unable to give up coffee or alcohol, and really, its just a short jump to dating from those two, so onward with life I go. Maybe my journal will be more ( Read more... )

Maybe my journal will be more interesting now

I dunno, I had to try hard not to laugh out loud in class when I read about the country line dancing. You, uh, mormon you ;p.

Though I could never ever ever ever go a week w/o coffee, let alone a school day.

Am I allowed to say? HAH! And you may as well enjoy your life. It's not like it is long enough to have time to be doing things that you will regret not doing later.
Plus, summer is coming, and I can't imagine you cooped up in your little room while the weather is turning this fabulous.

My roommate was challenged to give up sexual deeds for an entire year at New Years...i believe he failed in 5 days, then kept trying on a weekly basis...I think the longest he went was 2 weeks. I find it humorous, as he gets excited about making it a week, then fails miserably again and again.
As for all of the things you gave up, WHOA!!! I could give up alcohol easy, but I've been drinking Starbucks for 10 years now, and my checkbook will show you that it is nearly impossible for me to go without it for more than 3 days. Congrats for going 4!
As for dating, you should totally go out and enjoy life. No sense in letting school or other things keep you from it. Just don't let the dating thing get in the way of the rest and take over your life. I have a few too many friends that get kinda obsessive, etc. in relationships and let it control most of their life. It's just messy that way. I don't know how lesbians are about that though. My sister hasn't dated too many girls that I know of. ;)

Hahaha, don't worry, Cynthia is quite the opposite of obsessive about girls ;) She's quite the playa' hereabouts.

Hmmm...it seems that Seattle has affected her then. It's tragic when cities can take a good wholesome boy/girl and turn them into a playah. ;) I'm sure she's nothing compared to the boys I've met around Seattle. (Thank God my four years in the Midwest has instilled in me moral values. LOL! Something like that!)

I'm proud of you for trying to go in a different direction. Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean trying it wasn't worthwhile.
