There was this kind in one of my college writing classes. When asked why he wanted to write, what was his motivation, he said he didn’t want to forget. He didn’t want to forget his childhood; he wanted to preserve some of the memories, actions, and feelings he had experienced. Granted, we were all about 18 or 19-years-old, but there was a sense of urgency in the way he said it. Like he needed to record life before he grew up and looked at things from a different perspective. He did not want to forget what had happened, did not want it tainted with details he could not remember as time went on. I couldn’t interpret the look on his face or the tone of his voice when he said this. Fear, resolve, nostalgia…I don’t know but I’ve always wondered. That’s what I thought about after reading your post.

That's why I love you Cynthia! You can appear so deep and serious, and you are but deep down you're a party girl. You make me smile :)
