I wonder -- because I am not quite queer enough?

1. What does the 2 in LGBTT2IQQA stand for?

2. If someone is on leave because her partner is having a baby any second now -- is that still maternity leave? Won't saying "she's on maternity leave" make people think she physically just had a baby? That's what I think, but I'm not sure what else to call it.

Well if a male goes on leave because his female partner has a baby it's called paternity leave, so I think "maternity leave" is still appropriate even if the person in question didn't actually have the baby. Of course most people, knowing nothing else about the facts, would assume that the person did indeed have the baby herself, so it's bound to get confusing.

I guess you could qualify it by calling it non-natal maternity leave, clumsy as that sounds.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-Spirit

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirit (I guess), intersex, queer, questioning, ally.

Other awesome acronym: FAB GLITTER (fetishists, allies, bisexuals, gays, lesbians, intersex, transsexual, transgendered, engineering revolution).

I also like Newton North High School's day called "ToBGLAD," which stands for Transgender, Bisexual, Gay and Lesbian Awareness Day.
