well at least they haven't cut your internet access ;)

i know how you feel though... my books mean so much to me, and to go as far as burning a holy book like the quran... i couldn't have stood it.

you can get copies of the quran free online, by the way. if you want a link i can send you one. it doesn't have the arabic text, so it's not the true quran, but if you just want the meaning it's good i guess.

and your sitar... that's just cruel. i've got very, very old violin, if someone destroyed it... i think i'd kill them.

good for you by the way, with the revenge. twisted sister is terrible anyway.

I steal my neighbor's connection XD

And it's alright. I don't need a link! I've since then bought an Arabic version and an English version of the Quran. Well, the English version is actually borrowed from the Temple :D they like me there haha.

I used to own a violin, too, actually. It was a Chinese violin, I believe. I bought it from a little shop when Chinese New Year ended. My dog accidentaly broke it. I didn't mind too much, because it didn't cost as much as my Sitar did, but I was still upset. And I'm pretty sure my eight month old puppy didn't mean to break it as much as my parents did to break my Sitar.

And I don't *mind* Twisted Sister, but not really the best band. ^_^

Oh good! i'm glad you got a new one. it's a wonderful book.

my area is full of catholics and protestants. we don't really have any other dominant religions here, we do have one sikh temple though. there used to be a wiccan or pagan coven, but they left. i find that religion to be too... fluffy anyhow.

my violing was made in dresden long before the first world war... i don't know who has played it, but it's interesting knowing that many others have played it before i have.

puppies are adorable in their naivety.. i could forgive one, but not so easily a person who actually knows what grief their actions might cause.

mozart is a million times better than twisted sister.

you're parents don't seem to be very reasonable people however if you are buddist you should know that revenge doesn't go with it. Just try to find your inner peace and ignore them. You can't change them so let them be and do your own stuff whenever you can. Or move out (don't know your age so don't know if its possible but anyway...).

I know D: I felt really bad afterwards cuz I know it's not right. I tried meditation right after. I totally know what you're getting across though.
And no, I'm not old enough to move put. A good 5, 6 or 7 years to go XD

wtf. Your parents are obviously not very flexible and supportive people.

Being a Muslim, to hear that they burned your copy of the Quran makes me cringe. Shove the First Amendment in their face:

"FREEDOM OF RELIGION".

What bastards. :/

As for the the whole 2000$ sitar deal, tell them how much it cost, how hard you worked for it, and if they want to destroy it, they better expect to pay you back. (Seeing as it was an over 20$ deal, you could even go to civil court if you really wanted to. Not that you should, but you could). The fact that they are restricting your first amendment is pretty serious. Do you know a close friend/family you could live with?

If they don't want to be supportive, you can guilt trap them into doing so. Be as cheery as you can around them, still practice your religion, and just try to make them feel guilty for what they did.

GUILT TRAPS ARE THE BEST.

They're not. :/ but I do try my hardest to deal with their bullshit, and I do try to practice my religion as often as I can. I can't pray at my house. They don't respect my privacy at all. They just barge into my room whenever they feel (except my grandmother, she actually knocks first). I began to pray at school, like, in the bathrooms and stuff (I know, but they're surprisingly sanitary).

And court? I couldn't do that D: and I know this is gonna sound a little dumb considering what I've posted, but I just don't want to make a gargantuan deal out of it.

A close family member, yes. But I mean, I'm only 13, and I don't think that moving in with my sister or my best friend is gonna work outnso smoothly XD

I have began saving up for a new Sitar, and so far I have about 100$ :D yay! I've decided to put some sort of warranty on it or keep it with a good friend.

And guilt traps... Are very much the best. Haha!!

My grapa (grandpa) felt that way about my random-pulling-of-random-religions-except-for-the-ones-he-was-ness. Except not enough to like.. smash my fucking shit up.
Oh, I would just go to that temple. I WOULD get my revenge, even thought that's not my nature, and I WOULD.. kick arse. MAJOR ARSE. My friend Jilly feels EXACTLY like your parents do, and her parents don't approve of my random-pulling-of-random-religions-except-for-the-ones-they-are-ness, so they threaten to pull her away from my life all the time. Also to call a priest. I'm confuzzled.

ANYWAY, YOUR WHOLE DEAL SOUNDS LIKE SHITE.
I HOPE IT GETS BETTARRR.
