The Hack residence had been more than adequate as a hideout, but Eric wasn't just going to sit on his hands and wait. Since relocating, he had gone back periodically, checking up on the nest from a distance. But something was off today.
He had sent a text to Pam the night of the burning, and had gotten several in return, the contents of which had some very colorful language and an ungodly amount of I TOLD YOU SO's. However, he hadn't seen his fledgling since the incident, which was definitely strange.
He didn't bother checking the map, knowing Pam would have already turned off her location-dot, instead trying to place her via their bond. His eyes opened suddenly, face hardening. The tablet was out and broadcasting in less than a second.
"Slayer," he said, practically growling. "I hope, for your sake, that you have not done something colossally stupid."
