01; [holo] randomly teleported somewhere? oh how original

"Once we get there we’ll need to-" Rose blinked in confusion, the rest of her sentence already forgotten. This was definitely not the black Jeep she had been in moments ago.

Stay calm. There had to be an explanation for this. No one was randomly teleported to ultra minimalist rooms without at least a somewhat weak reason.

"Hullo? Mickey? Jake?" Sigh.

"I think there’s been some sort of mistake." A slight frown tugged at the corners of her mouth as silence answered her back. At the edge of her eyesight was a soft glow. She turned to it and saw the tablet on its pedestal. The words 'Welcome to Taxon' flashed below what looked like a program mode label. 'Holo'. Huh. She picked up the tablet.

"Thanks for the welcome, er ... Taxons? Taxoners? I know you brought me here and all - I haven’t got a transporter on me - but even though you did that I do still come in peace." She grinned. Still the silence was the only reply.

"Usually that gets some sort of reaction," she muttered. Her thumb accidentally brushed the tablet screen and a map popped up, completely with blinking red dot and some directions underneath.

"Oh what’s this? Do I have to walk to the official welcome chamber? Go on my own self-guided tour?" She headed toward the door and opened it with one hand, still studying the little map. Her jacket sleeve slid up slightly, revealing her bracelet but she didn’t notice it. Poking her head out of the room and looking both ways was a bit more interesting.

"'Turn left.'" She read. Hmmm. Was there really any reason to? The map clearly showed that many different routes would get her to the same red dot. The only difference was that whoever pulled her here would have control over what she saw ... if she went left that is. The Taxoners ... Taxons ... whatever, really should've sent someone to meet her.

Grinning, she turned right.
