Today had started out like any other day, calm, quiet... and with a lot of regret that almost everyone important to her was back in Mystic Falls. Jenna couldn't deny that she'd made a few good friends here, friends she wouldn't have back home, but the reality was that the majority of her stability was... gone. She had Caroline and Rose now and while they were good company and strong against Katherine for her, they weren't Elena or Jeremy or Alaric.

The unfortunate part was that she'd learned to deal with that fact. She had what she had and she was grateful for them all the same.

So, when she turned on the tablet that day, she wasn't expecting anything familiar. She'd long ago stopped expecting something to happen. Hope was always in the back of her mind, but she knew better than to expect for it to happen. The transmission from that very familiar person, that voice she'd known for so many years, caught her off-guard. It was too soon... The aliens couldn't be that kind to her. There was no way ( ... )

"Jenna?" Elena could barely believe it when she heard the voice. There was no mistaking it, it had to be Jenna but... how? Katherine had compelled her to stab herself and now she was here. It wasn't the tomb, the room was too small but... where was she? And how could she heard Jenna when she wasn't in the room?

She lifted her head, focussing on every aspect of the small room from where she was sat. Nothing. No Jenna. No anyone. She wasn't hallucinating, she knew that much... unless something had happened and this was a dream? She'd know, wouldn't she?

With compulsion Elena had no idea but she refused to believe that this was a dream - it felt too real and she needed Jenna, she needed to know that she was okay.

"Where are you?" Elena was scared. Scared that something had happened to either of them, even to someone else. So many people had died and there was a chance that more could... even her. She just didn't know anymore.

Tears of relief pricked the corners of Jenna's eyes, but she forced them back. Whatever Elena had gone through prior to her arrival, it was far more important than Jenna's own sadness.

"It's gonna sound strange, but there's a small phone-like device on a pedestal nearby," she answered, shifting her weight from where she'd been sitting on a chair at the island countertop in the kitchen. Now she was running full-tilt upstairs, where she was grabbing her shoes and heading out of there! "That's where my voice is coming from. I'm coming to get you, okay?"

Elena didn't need telling twice. Using the wall to push herself up she made her way over to the pedestal, spotting the tablet on it and... her necklace. If Katherine had compelled her to go her would she really have left her necklace? Elena wasn't certain - she doubted it - but she didn't have time to think about that... she had too much else to think about, like where they were and what had happened. If Jenna was coming to get her that meant that she'd already been to hospital and had left. How long had she been here ( ... )

"Elena?" Caroline watches the tablet like a hawk, trying to learn new bits of information with each post and comment she's able to access. And Elena's voice was the last thing she expected to hear not so soon after her recent departure. She's currently at the Taxon Mall, sitting at a bench, watching the Extras walk by. Studying them.

She's glad that Jenna won't have to mourn over her loss for too long, now. "You missed Stefan by a few weeks, but, unfortunately for all of us, Miss Got-A-Centuries-Old-Stick-Up-My-Ass is here." She wants to say not to answer her, but that'll only piss Katherine off. And Elena's done that once and Caroline had to pay the price.

"I'm guessing Jenna has already contacted you?"

"Caroline?" Jenna hadn't told her that, or about the others being there. She's surprised but also relieved; she can at least know that Caroline's okay without worrying about her at home. But... Stefan was here? Where were they and how had he managed to go there and leave without her noticing something? It was a little much.

"Yeah, she's on her way now. What's going on? Where are we?" Jenna had been a little quick to just leave to get her without letting her answer anything. She was glad though, having things answered in person would probably be a lot better than on the tablet.

"You're in the alien city of Taxon. Literally. It's run by aliens." Caroline gives a roll of her eyes and a sigh. "What has Jenna told you? I'd rather not say the same things and just ... freak you out even more." Caroline presumed her way of explaining would be much poorer compared to Jenna. This was her first time on the welcome wagon, and she'd much prefer to prepare Elena for Katherine and the things to come.

"I can come get you, but ..." she trails off. She presumes Jenna's coming to get her. Caroline doesn't want to intrude on their impending reunion.

Aliens. An alien city run by aliens. That... had to be insane. She'd ask if Caroline had hit her head or had been compelled to spout something crazy but she was a vampire, it wasn't really an option.

"Jenna hasn't really said anything, just that this place is called Taxon and that she's on her way." Which for now sounded like a scarier thing than being told too much - she'd rather at least know something and be able to deal with it.

"Why don't you meet us at the house?" She wasn't even yet getting to the point of asking how it was here. But she needed her, her and Jenna and... Bonnie... was Bonnie even here? "What about Bonnie? You said I missed Stefan but you didn't mention her." She'd much rather Bonnie were here than Katherine, too.

Another arrival. Party visibly perked up and grabbed the tablet, but it's not Fun Ghoul or Party Poison. His nose is hidden with a red bandanna, though he's sporting two black eyes. Every time he blinks is a reminder that Kobra Kid is the better fighter out of the two.

"Look alive, sunshine," He states softly, trying not to let his disappointment show. He pauses. She's awful pretty...A good thing they'll probably never meet. And his broken nose is hidden. Sort of.

"This place ain't what you want it to be, sorry, motorbaby. But you're stuck, so if you want to get out of here, stick with me."

Elena had had a lot explained to her by Caroline and Jenna, even to watch out for the tablet and to make sure it was off so that nothing was accidentally published. When Jenna had met her she'd figured out how to turn the tablet off and had pocketed it, seeing the build up of messages when she'd gotten back home later.

The background when Elena turns her tablet back on - finally - is that of her room. With all the confusion and explanations from earlier Elena had wanted the peace... or as peaceful as it came.

"I've heard." She sighed. She would have said she'd stick with her aunt but it seemed a little rude. "It doesn't help you don't remember being here before."

"You've been here before." It's a surprisingly harsh statement, cold and spilling out of Party's lips like the other was poisonous, somehow contagious. It shows in his expression, sitting in his car this time, jacket zipped up all the way. He doesn't care his broken nose is on display for the time being.

Hazel eyes are skeptical. He doesn't want to come back if he finally manages to leave, and the fact that they tamper with your memory? "Just plain messed up, diesel darling." He mutters as if she wasn't there before he looks back at the tablet.

"You've got friends. That's...." He pauses, licking his lips. "That's good." Because now he's starting to get a little jealous--Party had no one until his brother.

"Until... a couple of weeks ago? Not a holiday I'd have chosen." This or going home, not with what had happened lately.

"And yeah. My aunt and one of my best friends are here." And her insane bitch of a doppelgänger. She didn't even want to get on that one. "I'm not sure what I'd have done if they weren't here." Well, if she hadn't had them to calm her and explain everything.

Well this is a good thing, and Fitz grinned as he picked up his tablet. He hadn't known Elena personally, but any family of Jenna's was bound to become a friend of his. Unfortunately this one didn't seem to remember the city, so he'd try and go easy on her.

Here, have a scruffy guy in his thirties with wide grey eyes and a North London accent.

"Elena? Hey, I'm Fitz, I'm a friend of your aunt's. You all right?" Always good to check that with newbies.

"As okay as you can be when you've been kidnapped." Her reply might have been delayed but it was for the better - better to have someone who at least had a little idea of what was going on than someone who was freaked, right?

"You know Jenna?" That's what he said and she hadn't exactly not expected Jenna to make friends - it would be too unlike her for that.

"That's exactly the right answer," Fitz said with a nod and a grin. Some came in hurt, some hysterical, but the quicker they settled in the better off they were.

"Yeah, I've got a pub and she works...with me." Technically for him but that's just a quirk of the economy. "She talks about you a lot, so it's good to finally meet you."

"You didn't meet me before?" Elena didn't even know how long she'd been here last time so it wasn't completely impossible.

"How has she been doing? With all of this." She seemed okay but that was now, what about before? At least the job was something good, and Jenna definitely would be good there.

The all too familiar voice catches Katherine's attention immediately. Elena is back? Scoffing, the vampire holds back on responding just yet, instead listening in on the other conversations for a while (screw you, Caroline, she heard that). The anger that's been her almost constant companion for the past few weeks starts to slowly take hold again. Why the hell did the hamsters see fit to bring Elena back instead of Stefan? This just wasn't fair ( ... )

Elena would have loved so much to have ignored Katherine but with what had just happened, and Katherine in general, she knew that wasn't a good idea. She gave a sigh, gritting her teeth almost as she replied.

"No, I didn't." And she would love for Katherine to get off the line, especially with how much else she'd been told earlier that day but... it wasn't an option - she'd find her regardless, she just hoped that Jenna hadn't invited her in.

Katherine smirked at Elena's refusal to converse with her face to face over the tablets, but switched the feed to audio herself. Elena may think she's displaying her disdain by denying the visual, but while Katherine didn't doubt her descendant's dislike, the vampire interpreted it mostly as fear; a precaution taken out of wariness. Good. They should all be afraid.

"Oh, no? Funny thing, that. I could have sworn I heard my name mentioned, a few times in fact. Oh, well," Katherine said lightly, all easy (but deceptive) nonchalance. "I must say, I am surprised to see you back here so soon after your departure. The aliens must like you for some reason."

She emphasized the word slightly venomously. What the hell made this one so special to all and sundry? Katherine couldn't understand it.

"Talking about you don't mean that I want you." Because that would never happen. Wanting Katherine's help? She'd rather her be dead.

"Yeah, and apparently they're not the only ones. What do you want, Katherine?" Elena wasn't dumb enough to imply that Katherine liked her, she just wanted to know what to expect. And yes, there was a lot of displeasure in every word as she spoke. Displeasure and disinterest.
