[visual | Location: Tamper and Trick] All of the horror that you've put me through

Willow had not had the most pleasant past few hours. She'd been dumped unceremoniously into a mostly-empty castle and discovered shortly after that she'd missed not only a couple of weeks of time, but almost all of her friends' departures from the city. She couldn't find them on the tablets, couldn't reach them, saw no evidence that they even ( Read more... )

Hello Willow, have a slight frowny face (which is one of interest too). "Did you just say witch?"

It's okay. She's used to it. "Yep! In the witchy flesh!" She just hopes this Elena won't go grabbing a pitchfork any time soon. The last one had been okay with it.

...And there she was doing the 'this one and that one' thing like the people who disappeared and reappeared were different people.

She didn't quite know how to respond which, considering she'd asked the question first was kind of bad. It just reminded her of Bonnie, a little anyway. She missed her. She knew that Willow wasn't Bonnie, that just because she was a witch it didn't make her the same but at the same time... it was like a connection?

An odd one.

"How long have you known?"

Willow shrugged, thinking back to when she'd first become a witch. The way Elena asked her question made Willow wonder if the witchy rules were different where she was from.

"A few years," she answered. "It was one of those 'become a witch or experience an apocalyse' things."

Yep. Totally nonchalant.

"That's a pretty dire things." And... you could do that? Choose like that? For Bonnie it had been so different, and a part of her family.

"Do you know any other witches?"

"My girlfriend is- ... was-" How did that even work? And were they even still... together? Willow hated this, how the aliens could just tear them apart like this. "-a witch, too. She always said she didn't have as much power as me, but I think she's just being modest. We're the only real witches I know of from back home. I mean, it's possible to cast spells if you know the spell and can read Latin. But things like barriers, telepathy, other real magic that involves ingredients... that's stuff only people with power can do."

Power that this witch has in abundance.

"Do you have witches where you're from?"

"Yeah, a few but I only really know one of them." What Willow had said? Elena didn't know if that was true for her witches - she'd never tried any spells or reading Latin but she hadn't wanted to, not with how Bonnie had taken it or how complicated her life already was.

Willow nodded understandingly. "Yeah, real witches aren't that common back home, either." Wait. She'd forgotten one. But really, Amy was still a rat in her time, so why did that really matter? "And I'm not counting Amy, since she turned herself into a rat."

"You can do that?" Elena really hoped that Bonnie never tried it. A rat?

"But how do you undo it?"

"She did." Willow shrugged. Honestly, the only reason Amy had done it was because she was about to be burned at the stake. And she'd been powerful enough. Willow didn't want to because she'd watched Amy spend years as a rat.

"You don't. You wait for someone else to undo it. It's been almost three years and I still haven't figured out how to do it." Wait, that sounded wrong. "I-I mean, I've been keeping Amy in my room, so she wouldn't get eaten by anything, and I haven't exactly figured out a way to turn her back."

"Wait, you mean you have to hope there's another witch that can do it? And actually know you're a person and not a rat?" At least Amy was lucky that Willow knew that she was a person and was working on it, even if she couldn't yet do it.

Willow shrugged. "Amy couldn't figure it out and she's pretty powerful." So, of course by that logic Willow assumed no one could do it. "That's why turning myself into a rat's never been one of my life's ambitions. I'd rather stick with the things that are good o-or can be undone if they go wrong."

"Maybe you just haven't found the right thing? Bonnie couldn't always find things at first." Even if it had been three years but this was probably something that wasn't done that often.

"I'd aim more for a cat. At least people like cats?" Bad joke. But if you had to be an animal why not a pet that people would love?

"Maybe," Willow replied with a shrug. Trial and error still didn't really make her in any bigger hurry to find out. "Still don't really want to keep trying with that one. I-I kind of like being human. We're all powery and thinky a-and less mousy and squeaky."

Bad joke or not, it made Willow smile. "Yeah and then my kitten would have someone to play with. Cat. She's not much of a kitten anymore."
