Beth couldn't find a place to hide.

What appeared to be a barren cabin contained only the odd chair or end table and a lantern. And the scary woman. The scary woman who had taken her from her family two days ago. Who talked to her of a new family, of a meeting with her new father.

Martha was still awake when she caught sight of Beth's accidental post, though she'd intended to switch off her office light and head to bed a few hours before. She’d decided to do a full inventory after the fairy tale incident, making sure that everything she needed was still in place in the surgery, and it had taken longer than she’d expected.

“Bad dream?” she asked sympathetically.

Coraline - what appeared to be Coraline - seemed to have vanished as quickly as she appeared. Beth blinked rapidly, doing her best to wake herself up, to be ready for whatever happened next, but her apartment remained silent. Save the one that was constantly keeping watch over her, it was vampire free.

“Bad dream?”

Beth jumped what felt like ten feet in the air, putting her hand to her chest in alarm.

So much for being prepared for whatever happened next.

Beth looked over at her tablet on the dresser and saw an unfamiliar face, "Oh - I'm sorry. I didn't... I didn't know this was on... I just was a bit startled, I thought that..." She forced herself to stop rambling, taking a deep breathing before simply saying, "Yeah. Bad dream."
