Fuuuuuuuu how is it so close to Christmas already??
Thankfully, we are now over the covid, though I have some lingering bleugh to contend with. I've been ill for a while now with some heartburn/digestion issues, but short of having a camera shoved down my throat I've hit the point where I've got no more options except taking heartburn meds daily. Fun.
We managed to make it into London at the weekend. Sadly my tastebuds had not recovered from covid, so I was still devoid of taste/smell, so the food was a little wasted on me. We went for Chinese bbq for lunch, followed by udon noodles for dinner. We saw Good at the Howard Pinter theatre - a surprise present from G as he knows I love the theatre. It was a very intense, very emotive play, about a German professor who slowly gets drawn into the Nazi party and is still trying to convince himself he's a good man just surrounded by bad things. Not ashamed to say I ugly-cried at a few parts, not least because I can see how we still have these attitudes of people today, whether it be in the form of racism, anti-semitism, homophobia or transphobia - basically just so much bigotry we still have in the world around us. Honestly should be compulsive watching for everyone.

On Sunday we hit up the V&A and the Natural History Museum, where the t-rex had a Santa hat and Christmas jumper on. I love me a t-rex, so this greatly amused me.

We walked clear across London, or at least it felt like it, so my feet are still recovering. Managed to nip into Cambridge this morning to finish up a few Christmas presents. I still need to finalise a few things on my end too, but that's what the internet is for, I guess.
