War is scary because it's a small number of people having a power struggle, yet it's thousands and thousands of innocent bystanders being used as tools to create death. For what? Lines in the sand? Oil? Religion? It blows my mind that a person can be convinced that any cause is worth that. And yet, millions enlist. Or millions join militias. Or radical factions. Or maybe they are born into it. Regardless, human's capacity for blind senseless hatred is a terrifying attribute. One theory is that it's rooted in the evolutionary fact that humans have no natural weapons. Wolves, when fighting, will immediately cease violence if one goes belly up. It's an unspoken code between the species. They know and respect their own power and it's a sense of honor. However, rabbits, when fighting, will batter each other till one dies, often leaving the victor much to battered to survive. It's believed humans are the same way, we don't know when to stop because we don't have an inborn understanding and respect for violence. We've romanticized it and

seriously i really can't stand watching the news or cnn anymore. it just upsets me and i get frustrated because i just don't understand the mindset of anyone who could possibly be pro-war (or bro-bush for that matter...)
