Not like Ike

Have you ever sat alone, look at the ceiling and wonder, how is it possible to miss someone so much that you feel like your world is crumbling? Well I am feeling that way right now, I am missing my wife and my son, the warmth I get when I hold them both, being able to wake up next to her every single morning, feeling her breath on my chest and she is snuggled into me, it is so hard to be apart from them, wondering everyday if they are ok without me there. Trish took on a already made family when she married me, but yet she never complains, just shows lots of love to my son and I.
Today my wife and son will be back in my life for a week..I will be so glad when this tour winds down. I got up out of the chair and walked into the kitchen, getting another cup of coffee, daydreaming about later on when Trish arrives. I finished my coffee and went into the bedroom and got out a clean pair of boxers, my button up levi's and a tee-shirt, and went into the bathroom to get my shower done, just as I stepped in the shower my cell phone rang...I grabbed the towel and wrapped it around my waste and ran into the bedroom to answer it.
"Hello." I said, noticing the puddle of water soaking into the carpet.
"Hey Tay, It is Zac, do you have a min?" He said to me, sounding lonely, I knew he missed Kiley and the kids.
"Well Zac, at the moment I am standing here with shampoo in my hair, a towel wrapped around me, if the maid comes in she will get an eye full and I dripping water all over the place, If you want to come over and wait for me to get out, feel free, the door is unlocked just let yourself in." I told him shivering.
"Ok thanks Tay, I will be over in a few." He said to me. I flipped my phone shut and ran back in and got back in the shower. I finished my shower and got dressed, then brushed my hair back and put it in a pony tail..wondering if it was time for a hair cut.
"Hey man, it is about time, I thought you feel in." Zac said grinning at me, knowing I always take long showers.
"Nah smart ass,you guys are just never happy unless you remark about how long I spend in the shower are you? I just needed to get ready before we head to the airport to get the girls." I told him as my heart fluttered.
"Yeah I have missed Kiley so much, it is like it gets harder and harder to be apart, I actually can't wait for this tour to end just so I can spend time with my family." He told me, knowing exactly how he feels.
We sat and had another cup of coffee and then headed over to Isaac's suite to see how he was doing, knowing he is probably pacing the floor waiting for the hour that he can go meet Jade and the kids, all of us missing the family so much!
We knocked on the door, and Isaac came to the door looking still tired. I looked at him funny wondering if he was feeling alright.
"Are you ok man? You don't look so good this morning." I said to him, reaching my hand to his head and feeling his forhead, he was buring up.
"Nah, I have been up all night, coughing and stuffy nose, and feeling like I am on fire." He told us, knowing that he really was not feeling well.
"I am sorry bro, it sounds like you got a good case of the flu, good thing there is no shows for a couple days so you can rest up." Zac said to him.
"Yeah, I called Jade and told her not to come on this trip, I don't want Josh and Jordan getting this stuff, let alone her getting it and having to take care of 2 babies." He said going into a coughing fit, he looked so pale, and I know when he tells his wife to stay home that he is really sick.
"Wow Ike, I know you were looking forward to seeing them, I am sorry that you are not feeling well, why don't you crawl back into bed and I will bring you some juice and some toast." I told him, he went back into his bedroom and laid down, I took his juice and toast in, but I looked and he was passed out.
"Maybe you should just go to the airport Zac and pick them up and I will stay here with Ike, I don't feel good about leaving him alone when he is sick like this." I said to Zac, really not wanting to leave Isaac alone.
"Yeah I think your right, I don't think I feel good about him being here alone either, so I will go and get them and just bring them back here after." Zac said, looking down at Isaac, knowing he was just as worried.
Zac left and I pulled up a chair and sat next to Isaac as he slept, I hate seeing my brother like this, he was sure not himself, I am so glad that we have no show for a couple days so he can rest and beat this bug he has. He started to toss and turn, I reached over and his whole body was on fire, I was starting to wonder if I should call mom, knowing she was either on the plane or sitting at the airport waiting for Zac to get there to get them.
I flipped my phone open and dialed mom's cell number. "Hello." She answered.
"Hi mom it is me Taylor, I am kinda worried about Ike mom, he is burning up." I said to her.
"It is ok Jordan, I will be there shortly, Zac just got here so I am on my way, please just make sure he stays covered up and if he wakes up, making him drink some fluids." She instructed me.
"I will do that mom, I love you and I will see you when you get here."I told her, knowing that Trish and Ezra have to be with her, I can't wait to see them.
"I love you too Taylor and Trish says she loves you and so does Ez." She told me, making me smile.
"Give them my love mom and I will see you guys soon." I said smiling.
Before I knew it my mom was flying through Ike's front door and here to take care of him, he is now in good hands and I saw my precious wife and son standing there smiling at me, I got up and went over to them and just took them both into my arms, loving the feel of them there, and I looked up to see Jade standing there, smiling at me and putting her finger up to her lips to shhh me, I smiled and looked to see if the boys were with her.
"I left them with Lucy, I wanted to be able to take care of my husband and didn't want the boys to get sick." She whispered, hugging me and planting a kiss on my cheek.
"He is going to be suprized when he see's you, and he is going to need you hun." I told her. I looked to see Kiley and Zac standing in the livingroom and Brianna came running over to me. "Uncle Tayyyyyyyyy." She yelled as I scooped her up and kissed her little cheek, she really amazes me how much she looks like Zac.
"Hi angel, Uncle Tay loves you sweetpea." I told her, hugging her tight.
"I wuv you too Uncle Tay." She said kissing my cheek and then getting down to go over to the bed to see Isaac laying there."Uncle Ike sick?" She asked as a little tear feel down her cheek, my mom scooped her up and kissed away her little tear. "Yes sweetie, Uncle Isaac has a bug, but he will feel better and be able to play with you soon ok?" My mom said to her kissing her cheek.
Zac came into the room and took Bri from mom, we all stood around waiting for Isaac to wake up, knowing it was going to be along night for all of us.
