way to go Jaime! also, there was some press a few weeks ago about anti-Obama people spreading rumors that if you go to the polls wearing any Obama paraphernalia (i.e. your button) you're like, not allowed to vote...NOT TRUE! so even though that woman was probably well-intentioned, i don't think wearing a button while you vote is a bad thing, let alone illegal. did you hear about that? there's stuff about it on Obama's website.

I did not hear about that, but after she came up to me I did notice that there were all these signs about electioneering being illegal. But I think those are to stop people from harassing people who are trying to vote.
very odd

I had never heard of 'electioneering'. Must be serious though.

I really don't know who I'm going to vote for, which is the first time ever. I've got some thinking to do : (

I've only ever heard the word used as a Radiohead lyric.

My biggest thing for this election is that my job will be directly impacted if McCain gets put into office. He wants to institute vouchers...which, in my humble opinion, is a terrible idea. And I would probably not have a job anymore because I work for an education non-profit that gets a large chunk of its funding from the US dept. of education. If the voucher system is put into place, the system would look totally different, we would lose the majority of that funding, and I would be out a job.
