How does it compare to Bulleit?

Bourbon is one of those drinks I have a hard time adapting to. I love Scotch, but I still can't stomach the sweetness and strong flavor of bourbon. It also doesn't help that I've had one too many long nights hugging the toilet after doing shots of bourbon.

Van Winkle is the classic "good bottle of bourbon". its about three times the price of Bulleit and about 5 times as good. much smoother -- more delicate like a scotch. still has the sweetness, but nothing sticky about it. and unlike most strong-flavored bourbons, you find the bite in Van Winkle on the back end of a sip. it hits very smooth and then starts to tingle and bite as it falls off your tongue. it's really great stuff. they have an 18 year that is something really amazing to drink but costs too much for me to ever get it...

but don't expect any peat or anything like that...it's still a bourbon. no doubt about that. and you'll notice the dark color...it ain't fuckin' around.
