These are the questions I was going to ask on the night of Kat's confirmation. (This was not why I went to Kat's confirmation, however Kat actually suggested asking questions so I wrote a few down.) Once again, congratulations to Kat for her confirmation and public declaration of her faith

The Rock says this. The Rock always refers to himself in the third person, and The Rock believes there is nothing odd about that. If you see the wonderful things The Rock has done, it sounds so much more impressive than saying "the wonderful things I have done".
It's basic WWE-style self promotion, and it makes perfect sense to me that The Rock.... ermm, I mean Moses... would have written or dictated large parts of his life personally, and deliberately put it in the third person. As for the bits written after his death, obviously they would have had to be written by someone else but by writing the LIVING sections in the third person, it then flows seemlessly when another author takes over.
It's a very effective writing technique to write about yourself in the third person.

firstly, a general thing that strikes me, is that if we could perfectly understand all of God's thinking and working.. then that would be strange, wouldnt it?
God is God. i mean, thats huge you know, He's huge! so we cant fully understand Him
BUT that doesnt mean we shouldnt try, we should be constantly trying!!
i just said this to you on msn, im pasting it here for my own sake
i used to understand it(that is the question about free will and fate living together) as free will, thats easy, its just free will. and fate is more like God knows us, more intimately than we could possibly imagine. he knows how many hairs are on our head, it says that in the bible. So God knows what choices we are going to make, he knows how we work you know.. so he knows what is going to happen. but then there's the whole fact that God is beyond time, he is past present and future, so he can see what will happen. so he knows. and he knows when He needs to be there ( ... )
