What I was saying is that, my thoughts on achieving happiness have changed or been pondered more on. I am happier now than before because I have realised it isn't just about me being different, making my mark. Its about realising what I have and that its ok to indulge in experience.
Death still scares me, because I cannot ponder that one day, all that i concieve me to be may not exist. But that much is inevitable, so its what I do or experience whilst I live that counts. If there is another plane of existence after death, then atleast I can say I have truly grasped life as the gift it was intended.
The gift that we as human's have been given is: I think, therefore I am. We have been given self-conscious thought. Which is experience. So how best could we cherish life as a gift but experience it in all its glory.
furthermore, now that i've read the whole thing: For Humanities purpose to me is not so much to impact the universe, it is love, knowledge and reason. These are tools to interpret our universe and cherish it, not to impact it and use life as tool itself.
i completely agree. maybe you you aren't too interested in poker next time, we can sit down with a bowl of nachos a la the old days and chat?
