The way he moves is so blunt. Every action he makes is louder than his words; words that are so often taunting and laughing. At first glance one would think that he didn’t have a care in the world. He is reckless, a risk taker -- wild.
People look at John Bender and call him a free spirit.
First impressions can be so off. I got close, even if only for a few moments, but it was enough. Those eyes of his are near lifeless. Stone cold, angry, untrusting…
And I wonder how a free spirit can look so dead.
