A single long-stemmed red rose, thorny and singed by flame at the end, one thorn coated in crimson.

It is pinned to the torn-off lid of a pizza box (presumably from Buon Viaggio) and the crude bloody message upon it reads:

"BE MINE"

[Vergil stands in front of the bulletin board for the longest time, perfectly still as he takes in the rose, the pizza box, and the words without really seeing them. Not after first spotting them. From behind it just seems he's staring off into space, and in a way he is. A view from the front tells a different story, however, as his eyes have already changed, and the rest of him surely isn't far behind.

His mouth moves unconsciously, forming the words he's not really reading - not consciously - before he simply turns away, phantom swords springing into existence from nowhere. Obviously, there's nothing to do but find Dante. Despite the fact he really wants to be nowhere near his brother - especially not after finding out about his future demise at his hands - but this is a special scenario.

Find Dante. Beat the everloving shit out of him. And then kill the perpetrator. It's a simple plan, and one he's going to follow through with a single-minded solidarity.]
