So I have some good news for all of you in livejournal land: Jon and I are going out on Thursday! I'm not exactly sure what we're doing yet but we'll talk at some point tomorrow to confirm everything. We just had a nice conversation for over an hour and I really enjoy talking to him. I'm pleased to say that things have gone well without any issues

A reason you may not be so excited about dating the guy you had drinks with is that there's no chase. He's been trying to date you for a long time and has been showing so much initiative, that it may actually be TOO much initiative! Think about it- would you rather try and get someone to like you that already does, or take the time to try and get someone else to like you? A strange concept, yes. But as humans, we're always trying to grasp control of something we don't have already.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about the chase thing. I need a challenge; if a guy presents a challenge he's 100 times more attractive. You should be a relationship therapist :-)

You're right, dating is totally weird! I can't wait until this whole dating aspect of my life is over!
