Shopping!

The kids and I have just come home from Hurstville, where we yet again bumped into madslasher and nolesygnu. I swear, if I hadn't been to their unit, I'd be tempted to think they lived in Westfield, we see them there so often *g*. Anyway, I like the fact that they can make fun of my kids and they make fun back, it brightens my day ( Read more... )

It was - Shopaholics-R-Us *g*. Not often we get to do that, so we made the most of it.

The kids couldn't quite believe it. They thought I was softening the blow for some bad news, or something *g*.

Poor buggers, I wish I could take them shopping all the time. It's nice to get to spoil them when I can.

*waves* Heh. Certainly not intruding - it's not like we were busy when you dropped by. It was very nice to meet you, too, and J & G. ^_^ And screaming kids are a regular occurance around there, unfortunately. *g*

I'm sorry it was so brief. I just didn't want to hang around in case we got you into trouble!

I don't know when you get your break, but maybe next time I could time it so we have a coffee or something, away from the 'shop' *g*.

J spotted you before I did - the braids gave you away *g*. Nice! Your hair must be way long.

No worries - and all the staff are very good at looking busy whenever a manager comes along. ;p Which isn't often for our area, thank goodness.

Generally we just negotiate breaks with whoever else is on in the department for the day, so it can vary depending on who has lunch appointments that day. A bit of advance notice, and it's no problem at all. *g*

J's eyeliner was what caught my attention - and the orange basket thingy!

I've been wearing it in two braids on and off for the past week or so, but this morning I decided to be different. *g* I used to wear it like this in primary school for a bit of fun. It's not that much longer out, but not for lack of my wanting it to be!

The eyeliner was pretty loud today, wasn't it? I'm not sure I like the red-black combo, but it works, and she likes it, so what the hell.

*preens* My orange basket! It's currently stuffed full of dirty clothes that were on my floor, awaiting the laundry tomorrow. The hat-box-thing is also full, of junk, but nevertheless looks good *g*. I'm tempted, very tempted, to go back and get another one. Or two.

G wanted an orange wash basin thing for her clothes - which I wouldn't have minded - but baulked when I said she might have to carry it. Obviously wasn't as committed to it as she should have been *g*. She can share my basket instead.

I was having a bad hair day, hence the ponytail, my default fix for when it fails to curl and just hangs dead straight. *g* That's as fancy as I get, but I liked your braids. If my hair was longer I'd give it a go.
