The bitter irony of Harry, of all people, accusing Snape of cowardice, after what he's sacrificed, after the horror of what he's just had to do...

No wonder he looked inhuman with the pain of it. Just holding it together himself, the strength of the man, the raw will to keep Dumbledore's plan intact after everything...

And then Harry calls him a coward. And it nearly undid him.

*satisfied smile*

I love Snape. Sooooo much. :-)

Other assorted bits:

Ron: "But the more I hint I want to finish it, the tighter she holds on. It's like going out with the giant squid."

He knows what it's like to go out with the squid. I reckon he had a thing for tentacles after the brains episode.

...Ron, and he shook her off by making a detour into the boys' bathroom with Harry.

Mmm hmm.

had been fermenting in the depths of his brain, unacknowledged except during dreams or the twilight time between sleeping and waking.

All those fics were right :-)

"But I know that Dumbledore trusts Hagrid to the hilt,

*cough*

"Oh, groaning and clanking up on the Astronomy Tower, it's a, favorite pastime of his -"

This is what the Baron gets up to, is it?

"But nothing I have seen in the world has supported your famous pronouncements that love is more powerful than my kind of magic, Dumbledore."

"Perhaps you have been looking in the wrong places," suggested Dumbledore.

::Breaks out in song:: 'Looking for love, in all the wrong places...'

um...

You're getting a bit obsessed with Malfoy, Harry. I mean, thinking about missing a match just to follow him ..."

"I want to catch him at it!" said Harry in frustration.

I just bet.

He was rapidly becoming obsessed with Draco Malfoy
the boy who scored

Draco admits it!

Ah, that's enough *g*. There's pages more, but I couldn't really be arsed to keep on. Suffice to say I enjoyed Albus dragging Harry off to the outhouse, the idea of Snape at a party being scooped up in *anyones* arms, watching Harry getting a little drunk on mead, the brief mention of Fred's left buttock, Fred (& presumably George) playing with muggle girls, and wrestling house elves - "Tweaky, pokey!".

Much to laugh at and enjoy, while still appreciating the actual, you know, plot *g*.
