Take it and keep looking?

It's easier to find a job when you have a job, right?

You can always quit later. Sounds like all that work would allow you to stockpile some money, take advantage of the benefits (any medical stuff you need to take care of?) and get off unemployment (so you can use it later if you need to) and then you'd have a bigger rainy-day fund to bankroll a continued search for work you love.

The fact is it's always easier to find a job when you have one. You're clearly not thinking this will be a long term position so I think you should take it so you'll be able to say 'I have a job' when looking for other jobs, and honestly, IMO, that will likely give you a leg up on the competition.

Good luck!

I am echoing other people but I think they are right for all the things they said above. However, I would just add that using them for a safety net is good. Just be sure (since you said you got fired last time) to make sure you leave on good terms this time. It is always good to have something to fall back on.

So, I would say take the job unless you think you will hate it so much that you will burn the bridge when you leave.

Plus, if you go in there and do a great job, the idea you will get a great reference is nothing to sneeze at too.

Best of luck!
