I usually have to read with no distractions. I wait until my son is sleeping and go to my room and turn on the fan to shut out noise and then I can read. If I am reading because I want to, I read for the story or relaxation. It can be more entertaining to read a book than to watch a movie. I feel lazy if I sit on the couch too long, so I don’t

I know exactly what you mean when you say "go through the motion of reading..." It irritates me so much because it happens a lot to me during required readings.
