You shouldn't be talking. You're about as nerdy as they come in your category (the category being females in our grade).

I think it's terrible when the only response someone has to another's achievement is news of another's even greater achievement, but anyhow. What you've done is quite respectable.

However there's a kid at our school who can be handed any Rubixxx cube in any possible form and complete it, on average, in 30 seconds.

But it's like SATs or anything of the sort. Even though the 2200+ kids are only the top 1-2%, you've got even more layers within that striving for a few extra points. Lesson?

Oh, don't worry. Evan Gates at Viewpoint holds the school record of 14 seconds. That's only a few seconds longer than the world record (I think). I've heard that his average is 20-something seconds, though I don't know how verifiable that average is.

Completing it with unprecedented speed was never my goal. The true accomplishment here is that I'm the only person at Viewpoint to have figured out how to solve it completely on my own. No help, no internet hints, no algorithms.
Every move and technique was my own.

Now, if only that would get me into Caltech.

Woo congratulations!
I could only do those if I switched the stickers. So i think if i used my method i could beat your method speedwise.
So i think the big lesson here, is that you don't have to always be right, cause like is unfair.
I pwn you
Me:1 You: .5 (you get half a point for your cube)

Haha jk , thats pretty amazing to finish one of those.
I'll give you a cookie or something.
