Okay, you made me curious, so I found Johnny Soko on Hulu.

So far, my favorite part is Johnny and the Unicorn agent being washed ashore after nearly drowning, and their clothes are still perfect -- trousers creased sharp as a razor, pocket handkerchief folded absolutely just so, hair perfect. Just to be more clear, my posting was not so much intended as high praise of Johnny Sokko, as a slam on Pacific Rim. Johnny Sokko is fine for what it is (a kid's monster show from the 60s), but it is hardly "quality television". It's just that I think that Pacific Rim is much less fun to watch.

And yes, the bit about coming out of a near-drowning episode looking like you just came out of the dressing room is only one of many silly things in it.
