Hello TCG and Happy New Year!
We have a lot of changes coming this year and hope you are as excited about them as we are.
1. As you may have noticed, Uri has opened a new game in relation to deck making. We hope everyone will take advantage of this to earn some new cards and help us make new decks!
2. There will be some changes coming to Make A Match. Namely that it will be going to a true match style game. Cards will still be revealed daily, but their location will not be included in their reveal comment. You will need to watch the game post and track each reveal yourself so you can match the cards still once they've been flipped back over. wildmusings is also going to be hosting final answers on her own journal rather than the game community so other moderators will also be able to participate as well. This game is going to be running in true memory fashion, so pay attention and nab those matches!
3. We have a couple other games still in the works that we hope to reveal soon as well as more contests coming up. That's not to forget new events happening in the new year either!
4. Prizes are being standardized across the entire community for our affiliated icontests that are continuing forward with new challenges as of this first new week of the new year. Prizes will be as follows:

1 icon = 2 random cards
2 icons = 1 choice normal & 2 random card or 1 choice special & 1 random card
3 icons = 1 choice normal & 3 random cards or 1 choice special & 2 random card
4 icons = 1 choice normal & 4 random cards or 1 choice special & 3 random cards
5 icons = 1 choice normal card & 5 random cards or 1 choice special & 4 random cards
6 icons = 1 choice normal card, 5 random cards & 1 rank c cert or 1 choice special, 4 random cards & 1 rank c cert
Voting
1 card per vote
Placing
first place = 2 random cards
second place & below = 1 random card
no cards for mods choice
For ease of our mod teams reference and to avoid member confusion, this means these rates will apply starting with the following weeks: animanga_itest week 130, calendarsquares 2014 calendar, clamp_icontest week 411 & 412, inuawards week 471, itachi_icontest week 192, la_corda_itest week 280, title_awards 218 & vgicontest week 72.
5. We have a new event card!
This mystery mod card can be turned in at the event exchange post for one random holiday event card and will be added to our currently incomplete generation five mods event set.
Along with this change, current mod event cards are being moved to the prize randomizer. No other normal, retired, or holiday event cards will be in the prize generator, but hopefully some more easily accessible mod cards will help everyone in their event set collecting!
6. Separate from event card fun, but a request if members could please remember to include what you are exchanging event cards for in the event exchange entry (not just choice choice cards, but number of randoms, etc), it would make the exchanges go much faster and be much easier on our poor mmrobitussin!
7. Half prizes are returning to the event badges page! Ages ago, back when Neon was still here, half prizes were done away with on the event badge entry. Well, now they are back. We've made some slight adjustments to first time mastery for first master and no certificate mastery claims. Instead of only getting a badge for your second time on of masteries, you will get 1/2 the first time prize for any consecutive mastery date after today. So your new prizes for these two claims will be the following:
You're the first person to master a specific deck
- prize: (first time) event badge + 10 random cards // (second time+) event badge + 5 random cards
You've mastered a deck without spending any certificates
- prize: (first time) event badge + 2 choice cards + 1 choice special card + 4 random cards // (second time+) event badge + 2 choice cards + 2 random cards
8. Non-mod first mastery is back! This will only apply to decks that only one mod is currently listed as master for prior to your claim.
9. Last, but not least, a request that everyone please not forget to check in at our current roll call! Remember, you get prizes for commenting before the reminder deadline!
