An auspicious beginning to the working week

So yesterday, my car was giving me some trouble. First, I'd drained the battery by accidentally leaving the lights on two days ago, so I waited until Derek and Nichja came home to give me a jump. Most of the 'elitist' cyclists are not drivers, never have been drivers, and have nothing but contempt for drivers. They view themselves as exempt from the rules of the road, but also exempt from the rules of pedestrians.

As an ex-driver I don't really blame cars for not seeing me. I know I'm weaving around and I'm not easy to see. I don't make noise. I don't have headlights. I don't take up a full lane.

Bikers who are not drivers don't get it. I bet if you put them behind the wheel of a car they'd be some of the worst offenders around cyclists... because they'd continue to have the "kings of the road" mentality.

No, I'm still an asshole cyclist weaving in and out of traffic as though I am king of the road. I just don't get pissed off when drivers don't see me and do something abrupt when I suddenly enter their field of vision.
