Doubts
This has been an odd winter. We have hardly had any snow -- and the snow we did get melted away almost the instant it hit the ground. It is the first week of March, and the temperature is supposed to hit 63 degrees today. Normally, I would have used a winter like this to take the dogs for long walks and go jogging. Well, it's happened. I've seen the signs for the last week or so -- little creases in her labia where no little creases should be, red marks around her thighs -- but I didn't want to believe it. Wednesday Smiles
Samantha slept from 11:30 to 4:30 last night. Hooray! I'm not sure if that can be completely counted as "sleeping through the night," but I will take it. Unfortunately, she woke up with a diaper that had pretty much exploded. She was completely covered in poo from her knees to her neck. Motherhood and worry
Samantha has not been sleeping at night. She does not have colic by the strict definition (at least three hours of continuous crying three days a week), but she has colicky symptoms that begin every evening around 9:00 or so and continue until the wee hours of the morning. Snowy Friday
Our little girl has her days and nights confused. Last night was moderately more successful. She went to sleep at 8:00 pm or so and slept until 11:00, then went back down until 2:30 after her feeding. Unfortunately, she decided that 2:30 - 8:00 would be the perfect time to play. Motherhood
Little Samantha Bea was born December 9, 2011 after 30 hours of labor. My water broke Wednesday evening, and Samantha came at 1:22 Friday morning. It has been an interesting transition since we've been home. 10 Day Countdown
Samantha Bea is due is 10 days -- and I am trying to keep calm and carry on. School has gone okay this week. (Thank goodness for the calm, gentle children who populate this year's class!)
