Women, wear your suits.

Bathing suits. And get out in the water. I did just that, and survived. Let me explain.

I read this article recently. Around the same time, this one popped up in my view. I took them as a sign that no matter what, I was taking my bikini with me to Daytona Beach, as well as other suits. I found pieces that fit, and they all came with me ( Read more... )

I am truly glad you found some image acceptance. The people who love you will always accept you the way you are, the way you were, and the way you will be. And since they're probably pretty smart people you should follow their lead. ;-)

Of course in order to really comment on this post, I feel that some photographic evidence should be provided. You know, just to be thorough.

Did I mention my birthday is coming up??

I know. I'm shameless.

Pretty lady, the scale and medical professionals disagree with you. But this is where I am, and I accept myself. If I want to do something about the extra jiggles and bounce, I know what to do. Wearing my bathing suit was one of those things. :-)

Love you too.

it is always a shame when beautiful women with curves feel they are defective in some way

and yes, you are a beautiful woman and a pretty damn neat person all around

glad you and the family had a blast

I love both those articles, and your post.

(For what it's worth, I wear a skirted tankini because then I don't feel like I'm running around in my underwear and am hence willing to walk the half mile to the beach or stop in dollar general on the way back, and don't worry about whether I've shaved. I needed to be better about sunscreens though - is not a great choice in tan line.)

Well I know my little one had a blast with you at the beach and LOVED body surfing and riding the boogie boards.

I actually had more time in the ocean on this trip than I have in the past 10 years. I don't get in the ocean much in general because I hate being beat-to-death by the waves, don't enjoy when the ocean is cold, hate sand in my crotch and burn to a crisp even with sunblock.

But going down to the ocean in the AM, with a hat and plenty of sunblock was great with the water so warm and calm. I actually got down to the beach three mornings and got in the ocean every time it was so nice.
