Ahh.. so you actually went to that guy's funeral. That happened what on Halloween or something? Considering that I had just moved to KW, I was a little freaked out that some popular guy had killed himself, causing the school to essentially shut down. I figured if popular folks were offing themselves, I didn't have much of a chance. Then over Christmas break, the girl who sat next to me in English hung herself, and then another guy, friend of a friend, somehow killed himself during Spring. Bad year for KW.

Yes, I did, as did most of the band. I had been in a class with him and he was a really nice guy. He was the only soph on the varsity team. He had a Halloween party, said goodbye to everyone, went upstairs in his parents bathroom and shot himself. As for the girl over xmas break, my best friend (Amber) new her, road on the bus with her. During the spring it was Jay Boyd - he was our drum major. Another good friend of mine was really close to him. His older brother was also in the band, but I think he had graduated the year before. His parents were very rich - think Bear Branch area where the montessori school is and the stop sign that hardly anyone stops at - the gated area is where they lived. Someone found his car near the greenbelt and went in and found him - gunshot as well.

Okay, okay. So I was sick today and decided - hey, what the hell. What can I say.. I'm random like that. Also, I'm trying to write more

I remember when we moved there - right before my freshman year - one of the things my parents said was that smart kids were actually popular and very common. Where we had been before I was an outcast because I was smart. A better situation yes, with a much higher demand on the students. There were more deaths suicides as the years went on too, though I didn't hear of any when my brother was there, or his ex. Well, you didn't really know him, not that I knew him well enough to go to the party or anything. Being in the band though we saw alot of the football players on a regular basis.

When Jay died it just slammed us. He was a really sweet guy and having seen him every day a few times a day for almost 2 years that was hard. It was a good lesson of 'having everything and having nothing'.

I still think it's odd that I only saw you once in hs at the, ack I can't remember the name of that smarty pants group and then not again until soph/jr year of college.
